Create a Winning Golf Tournament Sponsorship Request Letter 

Follow our four tips to create an effective sponsor request email. 

1. Start With Your Purpose

Begin your first paragraph by introducing yourself, describing your event, and explaining why you are contacting them. Your readers may receive many requests, so provide the most important information first.

2. Make a Direct Request 

Make your ask early and directly. Whether you are seeking monetary contributions or a donation of goods, clearly communicate what your event is looking for and demonstrate to potential sponsors how their contribution will make a meaningful impact.

3. List the Benefits for Their Business

Show how you will benefit their business through brand exposure, networking opportunities or charitable donations. Be as specific as possible. For example, tell them that their logo will be placed on your website or displayed during the event. 

4. Provide a Path to a Decision

Give your reader all of the information they will need to make a decision, including the event details, the link to a sponsorship page and the sponsorship tier options. Let them know if you have a deadline for receiving sponsors and how best to contact you.
